Staffordshire Area Guide

Staffordshire is where you will find breath-taking scenery, thrilling adventures, captivating history, heritage, tantalising menus and more!

What's it like in Staffordshire?

Staffordshire is a landlocked county in the West Midlands of England. Our rural county borders with Cheshire to the northwest, Derbyshire and Leicestershire to the east, Warwickshire to the southeast, West Midlands and Worcestershire to the south, and Shropshire to the west with a good mix of both urban and rural communities.

From adrenaline pumping rides on some of the world’s best rollercoasters, to relaxing walks among free-roaming endangered species, Staffordshire residents have contrasting options on offer.

Those who are inspired with the past can explore 1000 years of Staffordshire history in ancient cathedrals, medieval castles and magnificent stately homes, or potter around factory shops from our world-famous brands.

Alternatively you can get a taste of Staffordshire, with tantalising menus and ales to savour at the home of the UK brewing.

Apart from Stoke-on-Trent which is the largest city within the county, Staffordshire is divided into the districts of Cannock Chase, East Staffordshire, Lichfield, Newcastle-under-Lyme, South Staffordshire, Stafford, Staffordshire Moorlands, and Tamworth.

The area benefits from excellent transport links and is in close proximity to the M6 and M1 motorway networks, multiple local and national train station lines and domestic and internal airports.

You will find many people who move to the area, tend to stay for a long period of time (if not all their life!). Strong local economies and a geographic position which lends to commuters in to large cities such as London, Birmingham and Manchester is a huge pull; and with a vast variety of different types of property which suit all buyers from families, first time buyers and even landlords looking for investment properties in one of the most cost effective regions in the country, why would you choose to be anywhere else?
